“I don’t know if implants are even an option for me.”

Straight answers

Is full arch implant treatment right for you?

Full arch implants suit some people beautifully and are the wrong tool for others. Here is how we think about it.

Often a good fit if you:

  • Are missing most or all teeth in an upper or lower arch
  • Have teeth that are failing, loose, or too damaged to keep
  • Wear dentures or partials and are unhappy with comfort or stability
  • Want a long-term, fixed solution rather than another repair

May need a different approach if you:

  • Have significant bone loss — we will assess what is possible at your consultation
  • Have an active gum infection that needs treatment first
  • Only need one or two teeth replaced — single implants or other options may fit better

Not sure which group you are in? That is exactly what the consultation is for. We will tell you straight if another option suits you better.

Questions people ask us

Full arch implants: the honest answers

What exactly is a full arch implant treatment?

Instead of replacing one tooth at a time, a full arch treatment replaces a whole upper or lower set of teeth. Dental implants are placed in the jaw and act as anchors for a new set of fixed teeth that stays in place. We will explain how many implants your own case would need at your consultation.

Does it hurt?

We will review your comfort options with you before anything is scheduled. We will also tell you what to expect during healing and how to manage it, so nothing comes as a surprise.

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on your starting point — whether teeth need removing, whether your jaw needs preparation, and how your healing goes. Rather than quote a generic timeline, we map out your dates after the consultation and give them to you in writing.

How much does it cost?

Full arch treatment is planned case by case, so the only honest number is yours. The consultation is $250, includes a 3D CBCT scan, and is paid at your visit. After your consultation you receive a written plan with the cost set out clearly, along with insurance and payment information. Call (203) 227-3709 if you would like to talk about budget before you come in.

Am I a candidate if I have bone loss?

Possibly. Bone loss is common in people who have been missing teeth for a while. Your 3D CBCT scan shows us how much bone you have, and we would rather examine you and tell you honestly what is and is not possible than promise an outcome in advance.

How long do they last, and how do I care for them?

Implants are designed as a long-term solution, and like natural teeth they rely on good daily cleaning and regular check-ups. We will show you exactly how to clean them and keep you on a follow-up schedule here in the practice.

What if I’m nervous about dentists?

You would not be the first. Tell us when you book and we will take the first visit slowly: a conversation, an examination and your questions answered. You can take your written plan home and decide in your own time.

Do you take my insurance?

Call our office at (203) 227-3709 with your plan details and our team will check your coverage before your visit.
